Biker - List of Biker Movies
After World War II, numerous motorcycle gangs were formed along the West Coast of the United States. The subculture created by these gangs gave rise to stories that had never before been seen in society. The gangs were prone to crime and were highly mobile on their motorcycles. They were not accepted by society. The biker film genre began with *The Wild One*, released in 1953 and starring Marlon Brando. *The Wild One* was the first film to focus exclusively on motorcycle gangs. The film was successful to a certain extent. Audiences were able to connect with the biker culture they were curious about—and sometimes even aspired to. During this period, when motorcycle culture was also on the rise, many biker films were produced, capitalizing on the success of *The Wild One* due to their appeal and low production costs.
