Destiny

In the gloomy shadow of a quiet village inn, time suddenly stands still; the fiancé of the young woman sitting at a table with a stranger mysteriously vanishes at that very moment. Drawing on the darkest tones of German Expressionism, Fritz Lang draws the viewer into a tragic labyrinth that wanders the very edge of death. The woman, who knocks on death’s door to reclaim her lost lover, is forced to confront the mirror of her own fate within three separate tales set in different lands.
