On the planet Ygam, ruled by gigantic blue-skinned aliens, humanity is trapped at the lowest rung of the evolutionary ladder. This 2D animated film by René Laloux weaves the theme of space travel with dystopian and surreal imagery to captivate the audience. The world of the Om humans—who have become toys for the Draag children or are hunted like vermin in the wild—is built upon a mechanical and cold system of domination.
