THEME
Summary
In England’s time-honored boarding schools, hierarchy is woven from cold rules that echo off ancient walls. While aloof teachers and ruthless upperclassmen exploit the system for their own gain, three young students from the lower classes ignite the flame of rebellion against this suffocating order.
Lindsay Anderson crafts a bold satire that shatters the conventions of classical drama. As winds of radical politics sweep through the hallways, Mick Travis and his friends approach a point of no return in their quest to tear down the walls of privilege. The anger of British youth is sharpening, poised to clash with institutional violence.
