Summary
The tension that stretches from the gloomy streets of Paris to the quiet of a country mansion takes root in the distant marriage of a wealthy industrialist and his wife, whose mind is filled with doubts. As Ivan Mosjoukine turns his camera on this bourgeois impasse, he weaves a strange puzzle that oscillates between comedy and drama. While the young woman remains under the spell of the detective stories she has been reading, her husband brings that very same mysterious detective to her doorstep in an attempt to win her back. This bizarre chase, where reality and paranoia become intertwined, reveals the absurdity lurking behind the scenes.
