Summary
An alien who sets foot on this planet in the hope of bringing water to his own dying world disappears among the concrete towers, taking on human form. This film, directed by Nicolas Roeg, paints a portrait of a dystopia rotting away amid fortunes built on alien technology and loneliness.
Over time, the greed for profit, the weight of Earth, and the bond formed with an ordinary hotel employee overshadow his original purpose. While advanced patents and multibillion-dollar corporations operate in the background, Newton’s true nightmare is being surrounded by humanity’s greed.
