The Student of Prague

In the misty streets of nineteenth-century Prague, Balduin, a poor student, paces the sidewalks. As the walls of class division intersect with aristocratic circles, ownership of the shadows becomes a matter of dispute. Directed by Stellan Rye, this classic of German Expressionism presents the audience with a dark Gothic fantasy. That dangerous bargain struck with a mysterious stranger transforms into a completely different nightmare as the reflection in the mirror takes on a life of its own.
