Summary
It all begins with strange footprints stretching across the scorching sands of the New Mexico desert. The hidden toll of nuclear testing has warped the laws of nature and turned the ants beneath the ground into colossal nightmares. In this classic blend of science fiction and horror by Gordon Douglas, it is not the wind that shatters the silence of the desert night, but the buzzing of approaching giant insects.
State police and scientists begin tracking the trail at an abandoned store in the middle of the desert. This horrific mutation caused by radiation draws military units and FBI agents into a tense chase. Trapped in the dark tunnels of the ant nests, humanity must close this Pandora’s box opened by the atomic age.
