The silence between two people trapped within the same walls makes the atmosphere in the room feel a little heavier with every passing minute. In this short film, Alp Zeki Heper maps out the gloomy landscape of marriage and shared loneliness. With a mysterious tension winding through the recesses of the mind, the film uses surreal touches to elevate the ordinary to an unsettling dimension. In those moments when words run dry and gazes grow heavy, the camera reflects the suffocating atmosphere within. The portrait of two strangers—together yet apart—draws the viewer into this confined space as time flows slowly.
