Summary
This animated work by Hans Richter completely defies the conventions of traditional storytelling. Geometric shapes dancing across the screen, footage of seagulls, and enormous eyes floating in space all blend together. This brief auditory and visual experience, which seems to have leapt straight from the dream journal of a Dadaist mind, bends the boundaries of cinema. The images flowing across the screen leave the viewer in the midst of an unsettling puzzle, far removed from the familiar.
