Summary
A murder committed in the dark and eerie streets of Paris is about to pin all suspicion on an ordinary pickpocket. As the crowd’s anger boils over, the police, right around the corner, believe they have brought justice. Yet this mysterious film by Henri Burguet whispers that crime does not always belong to the poor behind bars. The real killer wears a mask of innocence with his impeccable suit and polite smile. This respectable face, which has stained his own hands with his victim’s blood, has masterfully planned every detail to deflect suspicion. While the machinery of justice is being deceived by false evidence, the darkness of the streets continues to conceal the truth.
