Summary
The moment the noose tightens around his neck, the flow of time changes completely. In the midst of the American Civil War, the mind of a man awaiting execution on a bridge hangs suspended on the fine line between life and death. Directed by Robert Enrico, this drama succeeds in trapping the audience in an eerie moment where reality and illusion blur. The river’s current slows, the forest comes alive, and every step becomes a hopeful escape toward home. Yet the harsh reality at the end of the rope is never far away.
