Summary
After boarding the train on that cold morning following his wife’s burial, Donnelly finds himself at a loss for words. As the train passes through the gray landscape of Ireland, the eerie silence inside the car is about to be shattered. This short film, bearing the signature of Martin McDonagh and steeped in dark humor and crime, transforms the journey from an ordinary train ride into a suspense-filled nightmare. The presence of the unstable, foul-mouthed young man sitting across from him only adds to the burden weighing on the shoulders of the man struggling with grief. This unsettling tension, building along the railroad tracks, squeezes the passengers like a barricade ready to explode at any moment.
