The Alphabet

The only sound breaking the silence of a dark room is a spine-chilling repetition of the alphabet. This absurd nightmare, which seems to have leaped right out of black-and-white canvases, plunges the viewer into the heart of a claustrophobic dream-like atmosphere. This short animated film, bearing David Lynch’s signature, wanders through the deepest recesses of the mind. The strange, animated forms of the letters create an unsettling experience that blurs the boundaries between sleep and wakefulness.
