Summary
The first stroke emerging from the darkness heralds the birth of color and form. Thomas Meyer-Hermann explores the creation of the universe in tandem with the hesitations on the canvas and the resistance of the raw material.
This animated work does not hide the rough edges and dangers inherent in creating something from nothing. Every new line comes face-to-face with the possibility of the creator losing control. As the void takes shape, it brings its own weight along with it.
This mind-opening experiment, which we watched at the KultAlt table, steers clear of any claim to perfection, instead conveying the stubborn and unsettling rhythm of the creative process.
