Summary
It all begins with an eye surrendered to the razor’s sharp edge, immediately following a sliver of cloud that splits the sky in two. This short film by Luis Buñuel brings to the screen a nightmare that gropes its way through the darkest and most eerie labyrinths of dreams.
Hands covered in ants, dead donkeys tied behind pianos, and eerie figures grappling with bourgeois norms all converge in the same mental corridor. As the boundaries of reality dissolve, reason and logic quietly exit the scene.
