Summary
What would you do if that ordinary painting hanging on your wall suddenly started to swallow up your entire room? For Harry, everything goes awry when he buys a painting of a small boat with waves lapping at its edge. This man, who should be chasing words at his typewriter, chooses instead to lose himself in the shades of blue on the canvas. This bizarre comedy, reminiscent of Martin Scorsese’s early short films, shows how the mind can get lost in the labyrinths it creates for itself. Therapists’ offices, marriage certificates, and advice from friends aren’t enough to save Harry from this unsettling obsession. The lines grow thicker, the layers of paint deepen, and all that remains is that watercolor landscape.
