Teensploitation - List of Films Featuring the Exploitation of Teenagers

Teensploitation films are movies in which exploitation is directed solely at young people. Another reason why young people are portrayed as the victims in these films is that the films are aimed at a young audience. Young people who come together—typically for vacations, school, trips, parties, and the like—are at the center of the exploitation. Ironically, the audience for these films also consists primarily of young people. Like some other exploitation genres, teensploitation films trace their origins back to the cautionary films of the 1930s and 1940s. Teensploitation films are generally in the comedy, horror, action, thriller, and adventure genres. They are frequently combined with many other exploitation subgenres. For example: slasher films, giallo films, and hippie exploitation films.
