Walter, who remains invisible in the corner of a crowded café, is a clumsy waiter who constantly messes up while trying to fit in with the bohemian crowd of artists around him and Carla, whom he admires. When he covers the body of a cat he accidentally killed in plaster and displays it as a sculpture, it erases all his self-doubt overnight, and this dark farce triggers a proto-slasher tone that treads the line between absurd comedy and horror.
