Set in the chilly streets of Rumelihisarı, this drama focuses on the daily routine of a man struggling to survive in the freezing cold. Mahsun has neither a job nor a place to call home; he gets by on handouts around the harbor. When the darkness of night falls, however, a completely different rhythm begins. Mahsun, who steals luxury cars to keep warm, polishes them before dawn and cruises through the city. Derviş Zaim’s gritty and melancholic film brings to the screen a strange quest for belonging amid poverty and helplessness, through a stark observation filtered from the city’s outlying neighborhoods.
