Trash Humpers

In the dim light of Tennessee’s streets, a group of elderly people, masks in hand, wander into the darkness of the night. These strange silhouettes, lost in the back alleys of Nashville’s outskirts, are documenting their own downfall with the old cameras in their hands. This dark comedy, directed by Harmony Korine, pulls the viewer far beyond the boundaries of normality into a disturbing and jarring nightmare. Shaped by a found-footage aesthetic, this twisted journey leaves the viewer face-to-face with the farthest corners of the mind at the point where the American Dream turns into a nightmare.
