The neon lights of the copy shop, the sounds of alarms, and plaid vests all identical in design. Virgil Widrich slowly builds the tension as he transforms the comfort of an ordinary morning into a mechanical nightmare. That short distance between the bedroom and the workplace ceases to be a morning routine and turns into an eerie cloning cycle. This blend of animation and comedy, where machine sounds replace dialogue, treads the line of the absurd. Every piece of paper that is duplicated deepens the character’s sense of losing control a little more. As the copies filling the screen multiply, the mechanical nature of daily life increases exponentially.
