Xenon
Xenon - A very bright, daylight-balanced projector lamp or a projector equipped with a xenon lamp. A xenon lamp cannot be replaced with a tungsten lamp or an arc lamp, but it requires a different lamp housing in the projector. Because xenon lamps are balanced for daylight, it is sometimes recommended to ask the lab to produce a print balanced for a xenon lamp when working with color film. This is sometimes referred to as a 5,400K print, which is the color temperature of daylight.
Xenon Light
A light developed by Dick Hall for the film *Blade Runner*. What inspired Jordan Cronenweth for *Blade Runner* was the movement of the lights observed in every interior scene. It has both a flood and spot function and produces a beautiful light circle; however, when diffused, it creates a donut-shaped pattern because the light ring originates from the central spot.
Xerography
