A connector used to connect two cables to a single cable.

Also known as the FIRST AD. The director’s right-hand person. They serve as the link between the director and the production manager and, in some smaller productions, also act as the production manager. During production, they are responsible for extras, the smooth running of the production, ensuring everyone and everything is in the right place at the right time, and maintaining order and discipline on set. When shooting is about to begin, they call out “Quiet on set!” and signal the camera operator to start the camera. Before production begins, they create a call sheet based on the script, determine the number of extras needed for each scene, and hire them with the approval of the director and production manager.
